More customisable dye system
How about the ability to set the intensity of each dye?
For example, if I want a pinkish colour I have to apply 3 reds and 1 white, because the white totally washes out the red, and even then it's still too white. If I could set the intensity of the red to 10 and the white to, say, 5, I could get there easily.
Of course it would also introduce a lot more variety.

The problem is the current dye mixing system is just horrible. Mixing even 2 colors gives another one which can be far from any of them, there are armors on which adding Black to a mix makes the color *brighter* or adding White makes color *Darker*. On many many armors it's completely impossible to get any dark color, you can try Black+Black+Black+AnyColor and you will get shit - a simple Black+Color before nerf was darker than 3 blacks+Color now.
So the dye system needs a rework or at least a bugfix (i think the fact that the mixing system doesnt use the colors you see but some another color for each dye when calculating mixes may not even be an intended feature)
So yes, any changes are needed here. I would suggest (except the obvious fix) that an ability to add only some % of a dye to another one could be nice, like take 1 black and add 25% red to get a nice very dark color. (but the fix is really needed or even 250blacks+1red wouldnt give a dark color in the current system)

/signed - sounds good, shame you can't choose how much of your vial you wish to use to get shades.

Back to old colour system, but new way of putting it on.
So don't have to mix all dyes to put it on armour, but don't have the weird combos, like red + green = snot green. Seriously????? Red + green = brown makes sense, that new system is just plain dumb with regards to colour combos

I just want the old black dye back. But hey, I wouldn't mind a new system in place.

I am one of the few who actually like the new system, but I would LOVE the idea of being able to set the intensity of each colour. There could be slidebars or something for each vial put in the dye preview window. Oh, that would be awesome...

It would probably cause a bit more traffic when loading people (or when they change armor), because of they dye info only having the 4 dyes used it would also have to include the intensity of each dye.

You can already do so for capes... so it cold be possible...
They could add a slider for each dye slot... so you could decide the exact amount of dye you want to add... and you would never need two dyes of the same type again.
I would make a lot of changes to the dye system too... colors... way of coloring...
You can dye one piece of armor with one dye bottle... but only one with two combined... the mix of various dyes should be usable as many times as dyes are mixed: three dyes, three uses.
You can only dye some small parts of armor... I would make it so each armor had 1...4 different areas (depending on armor) so you could make something like.... a black and gold Krytan Female Elementalist armor... some would have one colorable areas... others (specially Elite ones) would have much more...

Heh, I meant to put that fact in my original post.

This, while nifty, I'm not really asking for because it would introduce too much complexity. Dye intensity can be (relatively) easily implemented but this would require another complete reworking of the dye system, as you'd have dyes that are "n% full" or something.

This is definitely too much. Maybe something for GW2, but no chance of GW1 ever seeing this.
